NZ Build was formed in 2007 and is headed by our Managing Director/Owner Troy Earl. The Christchurch-based building company has grown consistently over the last 12 years and has successfully undertaken a full range of building contracts from maintenance and small works through to larger commercial and residential new build projects. The breadth of knowledge and varied experience within the NZ Build team enables us to provide our clients with the confidence to tackle any project and enables us to achieve excellent results. At NZ Build we understand the requirements of our clients and through experience have found that one of the key attributes and points of difference with NZ build is the dedicated team that we bring to your project to see it through from start to finish. Our Team

Troy Earl – Project Sponsor (owner of NZ Build Ltd)

Troy has over 20 years of experience in the New Zealand construction industry completing his apprenticeship with a well known and well established local commercial contractor. He worked his way up through the ranks and reached the position of Project Manager. He then travelled to Australia to gain further experience working on both commercial projects and high end housing. On returning to New Zealand he set up NZ Build and due to his grass roots approach has built a well respected and successful company. As project sponsor Troy will work with you and his team at the early stages of your project to ensure you receive a high level of service and provide you with the comfort that all negotiations are being dealt with and agreed by the company owner. He will then keep a close eye on your project for it’s duration to maintain the quality of service and ensure the project is completed as expected.

 Nicholas French – Site Manager

Nick has over 15 years’ experience in the construction industry predominantly in the Retirement Village sector. Nicks experience also extends to some agricultural projects, a number of high end architectural homes and light commercial projects in both Nelson and Christchurch.  Some of the many areas Nick has worked include projects for the education sector.  He has worked his way from apprentice carpenter through to Site Manager responsible for multi-million dollar projects. Working with a wide variety of architects, developers and consultants he has built a wealth of experience in complex builds and process driven programming. Add this to Nick’s extensive knowledge of the New Zealand construction industry, he works closely with the client to ensure their objectives are met whilst ensuring all aspects of Health & safety protocol are followed.   Nick has worked for over three years for NZ Build and is a strong role model for our team.  He is well liked and respected and always happy to extend help to others in different roles.  

Evert Roland – Senior Quantity Surveyor

Evert will be your main point of contact during the pricing and negotiation stage of your project and will then work with our Construction Manager throughout the construction phase providing the financial reporting and advice to the Client, Architect, Construction Manager and Project Sponsor. Evert is a very experienced quantity surveyor and estimator with both New Zealand and overseas experience. Evert has tendered and negotiated numerous projects ranging from Hotels, apartments, schools and renovations throughout his career. He builds a strong rapport with clients, principals, architects and consultants to ensure key personal are and informed and that the project runs smoothly. With over 45 years’ experience in the construction industry as a Quantity surveyor Evert has a very high standard with regards to customer service and build quality. He will be Stephen’s second pair of eyes during the construction phase on your project to ensure the client is well informed and looked after.

NZ Build also has an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, Project Manager, Foreman/Site Managers, Carpenters and Apprentices and an Administration Manager all of which have a vast amount of experience within the construction industry and will be picked for their skills to complement your project.
